Vallejo Police Activities League
This is the "Before" of the website's Home page.
The Client: This client was a referral from another non-profit client of mine. Vallejo Police Activities League's Board is run by volunteers who understandably, couldn't find time to handle keeping their website updated. In addition, over time, they realized it was time for a refresh.
What Happened: The person on their Board that used to try to keep up with website updates was retiring. No one else could fit this into their schedule. Someone on the board of my current client was ALSO on the board of Vallejo PAL, and my name was thrown to the committee to get some help.
Tech Side: I built the new site using the Beaver Builder theme and page builder. Like most Police Activity Leagues, they provide healthy activities for the youth of their city. This one is located in Vallejo, in Northern CA. Because we did a refresh, it was easy to incorporate pages for Volunteer Applications, a full Code of Conduct, Partners page, Ways to Get Involved, and their big fundraiser of the year, the annual Golf Tournament.
This client keeps a KMS Care Plan in place, which allows them peace of mind in not worrying about backups, updates, provides monthly minutes towards making changes, and much more.
