Linda Algozzini (Consultant, Music Collaborator, Author)
The Client: Linda came to me as a referral from another client. Linda was having a very bad experience with her prior hosting provider (Hostgator) in that she brought her account to them in August of 2024, paid extra for them to handle migrating her web files from a previous host, but they were not able to complete the task, nor even tell her what was wrong. Her site was completely down until Linda came to me in March of 2025. First I got her site back up (issues with DNS mostly), and after talking, Linda wanted to walk away from Hostgator and was willing to be migrated again to my preferred hosting provider, MDD. Because this WordPress site had been created by her years ago, Linda asked to have the whole site rebuilt.
What Happened: Linda has an eclectic and diverse background. She was in education for years, then consulting in education. She is an author, content creator, music collaborator, life coach, and energy field healer. Like I said, very diverse!
Tech Side: I built the new site using the Beaver Builder theme and page builder. Because of the diversity, at first I had a hard time figuring out how I wanted to set up the new site. Linda told me to use my creativity. So I did, and the site turned out beautifully! She liked having a hero banner on each page. I turned them into page title backgrounds. She loves purples and lavenders. I applied a lavender-ish filter to all the hero banners she had picked out. I begged her to allow me to add an accent color and picked orange; it looks great with the rest of the colors. After some trial and error, Linda came up with a great new logo; I helped her choose fonts for the logo and site. The hardest part of developing the site was working in the tribute to her son, whom she lost several years ago. She has been writing music (it's on Spotify) to honor him. She has a whole page dedicated to her music, and him, called The Songbird. I really enjoyed creating this one!
